Electrodeionization EDI

Electrodeionization EDI

Electrodeionization is a water treatment process that removes ionizable species from liquids using electrically active media and an electrical potential to affect ion transport. The process has been so far the most progressed water treatment application in terms of high quality desalination and entails high technical and economical advantages. Electrodeionization technology is commonly applied to further deionize permeate from reverse osmosis system to a multi-megohm-cm high quality purified water.

Average output water quality using EDI technology: 16 – 18 MΩ, SiO2 < 20 µg, pH value 6,8 – 7,2 depending on raw water quality.
